Terri Steven's Blog

As a first entry into my blog, I thought I would show an image from the latest wedding that I have photographed. This wedding was up in Maleny and it was a gorgeous rainy day.

Yes! That's right, rain on your wedding day is not a tragedy, in fact it makes for beautiful light conditions and especially on the range behind the Sunshine Coast, it creates a romantic mist and moody colours.

Weddings are my favourite kind of photography as I really get a kick out of setting a scene and big full wedding dresses can be so wonderful to showcase. My own wedding was the most awesome day so I still love to capture the emotions of such a special event. Each bride and groom is different and all the details are always so unique.

The challenge I give myself is to create unique images that reflect the day and the couple's personality. I do tend to get carried away and take a million photos when the sun starts to fade and my favourite time of day, dusk, comes around. If you have me as your photographer on your wedding day, I will warn you of my excitement and enthusiasm about the light, like it was on this particular day.

I hope that you will enjoy the images I will post on my blog in the coming months.

Terri
